OTIS ELEVATOR EXHIBIT: HIGHEST AT THE 1933 WORLDÕS FAIR
The Sky Ride, built for the Chicago World's Fair (1933-34), had four elevators (30-person capacity each) in each of its two towers. You could take the elevator to the observation deck, or take a ride from one tower to the other in a Rocket Car. The Sky Ride, A Century of Progress, was demolished at the end of the fair.
